About the PP Cup Quality Standard

1. Objective

To clarify the quality standard, quality judgment, sampling rule and inspection method of PP plastic cup for packaging 10g fresh king pulp.


2. Scope of application

It is suitable for quality inspection and judgment of PP plastic cup for packaging of 10g fresh royal pulp.


3. Reference standard

Q/QSSLZP.JS.0007 Tianjin Quanplastic “Cup Making Inspection Standard”.

Q/STQF Shantou Qingfeng “disposable plastic tableware”.

GB9688-1988 “Food packaging polypropylene molding product health standard”.


4. Responsibilities

4.1 Quality Department: responsible for inspection and judgment according to this standard.

4.2 Procurement Team of Logistics Department: responsible for purchasing package materials according to this standard.

4.3 Warehousing Team of Logistics Department: responsible for acceptance of packing materials warehousing according to this standard.

4.4 Production Department: shall be responsible for identifying the abnormal quality of packaging materials according to this standard.

5. Definitions and Terms

PP: It is the abbreviation of Polypropylene, or PP for short. Polypropylene plastic. It is a thermoplastic resin made by polymerization of propylene, so it is also called polypropylene, which is characterized by non-toxic, tasteless, low density, strength, stiffness, hardness and heat resistance are better than low pressure polyethylene, and can be used at about 100 degrees. Common organic solvents of acid and alkali have little effect on it and can be used in eating utensils.

7. Sampling rules and inspection methods

7.1 Sampling shall be conducted according to GB/T2828.1-2003, using the normal one-time sampling scheme, with the special inspection level S-4 and AQL 4.0, as specified in Appendix I.

7.2 During the sampling process, lay the sample flat in a place without direct sunlight and visually measure it at a normal visual distance; Or the sample toward the window to observe whether the texture is uniform, there is no pinhole.

7.3 Finally sample 5 items for special inspection except appearance.

* 7.3.1 Weight: 5 samples were selected, weighed by an electronic balance with a sensing capacity of 0.01g respectively, and averaged.

* 7.3.2 Caliber and height: Select 3 samples and measure the average value with vernier caliper with accuracy 0.02.

* 7.3.3 Volume: Extract 3 samples and pour corresponding water into sample cups with measuring cylinders.

* 7.3.4 Thickness deviation of cup shape with the same depth: Measure the difference between the thickest and thinnest cup walls at the same depth of cup shape and the ratio of the average value at the same depth of cup shape.

* 7.3.5 Minimum wall thickness: Select the thinnest part of the body and bottom of the cup, measure the minimum thickness, and record the minimum value.

* 7.3.6 Temperature resistance test: Place one sample on an enamel plate lined with filter paper, fill the container body with 90℃±5℃ hot water, and then move it to a 60℃ thermostatic box for 30min. Observe whether the sample container body is deformed, and whether the bottom of the container body shows any signs of negative infiltration, discoloring and leakage.

* 7.3.7 Drop test: At room temperature, lift the sample to a height of 0.8m, make the bottom side of the sample face down and parallel to the smooth cement ground, and drop it freely from the height once to observe whether the sample is intact. During the test, three samples are taken for testing.

* 7.3.8 Coordination experiment: Extract 5 samples, put them into the corresponding inner Tory, and cap the test.

* 7.3.9 Machine test: After machine sealing, grasp the lower 1/3 section of the cup with index finger, middle finger and thumb, press slightly until the cup film of the cover film is tightened into a circular arc, and see the separation of the film and the cup.


8. Result Judgment

The inspection shall be carried out in accordance with the inspection items specified in 6.1. If any item fails to meet the standard requirements, it shall be judged as unqualified.


9. Storage Requirements

Should be stored in ventilated, cool, dry indoor, should not be mixed with toxic and chemical substances, and prevent heavy pressure, away from heat sources.


10. Transportation Requirements

In transportation should be lightly loaded and unloaded, to prevent heavy pressure, sun and rain, should not be mixed with toxic and chemical goods.
